Q1. Hello Gaurav, Please introduce yourself to our audience?
Hey, I am Gaurav Kumar, founder of eAskme, and many other niche blogs. I am an internet entrepreneur who is obsessed with blogging, social media, branding, and marketing. My mission is to help people with the latest and updates solutions. I have been featured on various blogs, social media sites, and publications. You can find my work on eAskme.
I have also been called with different names such as Rav, 50k blogger, ghost blogger, etc.
Q2. Please tell us about your blogging journey; how you get started?
My blogging journey started back in 2013. Before that, I was just another person working in MNC.
When I recall the day, I first got introduced to blogging. It takes me back to one of my favorite places where I used to play video games.
There everyone was aware of my interest in internet surfing.
There was a guy named Harsh, who told me that I could try “blogging.” And I was like What?
He explained that there is a way to earn money online by writing on the Blogspot platform.
This was my first introduction to the word blogging.
I came back home and started researching how to blog?
It was the end of October 2013, when I launched my first blog on the Blogspot platform. It was a news blog. Without SEO, custom domain, and custom theme, it was the beginning of a newbie’s journey to a full time blogging business.
I got the Adsense approval in 7 days, and the next two months were crucial for me.
I was out of the job. I was spending most of my time in front of the desktop to write more and more news every day.
Till, 1st December, I made only $10 in my Adsense, and the family pressure to find a job was also there.
Yet, I decided to try hustle for one more month. And, December 2013 became the month that has turned my life with blogging.
I made $550 in one month with Adsense.
And that’s the time when I decided to be a full-time blogger no matter what happens next.
In 2014, I left the news blog to try affiliate marketing.
And, in June 2014, eAskme was born.
The idea to start easkme was to help people with how to solutions and learn and explore SEO, marketing, and different revenue streams.
I quit Adsense.
Now you see eAskme as an ad-free blog where you find How to solutions and everything about blogging, business, marketing, social media, motivation, expert tips, tutorials, etc.
And my journey continues.

Q3. What are the top 3 proven blogging strategies that you recommend to a new blogger to build a profitable blog in 2020?
Blogging has changed a lot.
It is more about building a loyal Audience than running after organic traffic or chasing competitors.
The three major things that every blogger should focus on are;
Write for the Audience, Not for Search Engines.
Build Community
Turn your Blog into a Brand
Q4. How to create a blog sales funnel that makes money?
To make sales, you need to connect with the target audience.
The best way to build the target audience’s list is by making them subscribe to your email list. When a user subscribes to your email list, it means that he is interested in what you are offering.
The next step is to pitch them the right product in the right way. You can use the email copywriting to boost the conversion.
There is no secret that to convert a lead into a sale is all about luring them with benefits of the product or service. But the best result only comes by offering the products that your users are already interested in. And they should be related to your niche.
So your sale funnel be like;
Create articles to educate people about the product.
Introduce email option to build lists.
Pitch perfect your email copy.
Convert them into the sale.
Q5. If you were to go to start over again, how do you choose a niche?
There are different approaches when finding a niche. Still, people mostly believe in finding the most profitable place with less competition.
I instead choose the hard path. I like to choose a niche which may not have millions of audience but have high-ticket selling potential.
Q6. How do you come up with blog post ideas for your blog?
After a long blogging time, you either have no idea what to write or have many ideas about what you can write.
Most of the times, a new blog post idea comes from the
Comments of Audience
Reading/reviving old posts
Market trends
Reading Images
Etc.
Q7. Which one is best for you, Google AdSense or Affiliate Marketing?
For me, Affiliate marketing is the best.
Why?
Because it makes me work once and enjoy the result for a long time, sometimes I need to update the old content copies, yet it works as the best.
Secondly, a single sale is making more than the threshold balance limit of Adsense.
Q8. What’s your #1 way to increase traffic to a new blog?
Be the first to write about any topic. It is the key to rank better than others. The next is about writing an authoritative copy.
No matter what topic you choose, as long as you can produce the content that the audience cannot find anywhere else, you will be winning the game.
Q9. What are the golden rules of blogging, according to you?
Blogging is all about passion. When you work for your love, you never care about money.
Ups and downs will not affect you, and you will be more stable, focused, and result oriented than others.
Q10. In your blogging journey, what blogging mistakes that cost you a lot?
The biggest mistake is not about understanding;
SEO
How to Target Audience?
Regular with blogging!
But, I learn from them. And, this is the way to be better year after year.
Q11. What’s the #1 link building strategy you suggest for our readers?
Branding is the #1 link building strategy.
Work on becoming a brand and turning your blog into a brand. The most significant benefit to brands is that bloggers chase them, write about them, and link back to them.
Take the example of eHow or mashable.
If you are new to blogging, then publishing blogger interviews and ego baiting strategy will work for you.
Choose only that product that is related to your niche. Check the EPC of the product.
Before promoting it, focus on educating your audience about the pros and cons of the products.
Final Note
I hope you have enjoyed this interview and have learned many new things from him. Blogging is definitely one of the best and legitimate ways to earn money online. You need time and patience. The most important thing here is consistency. Please share this with your friends and on your social networking sites. It will motivate me to bring more pro bloggers in our interview series.

Got to learn something new from the blog today, though I am not focusing on affiliation but rather focusing on adsense earning more due to the niche that I choose to work upon. However, interviews like this gives inspiration and motivates to give your best shot. Who knows what there for you in the next door.

Hello Gaurav and Vishwajeet,
Great interview! My favorite part was about connecting to your target audience. Gaurav said it so wisely when he answered “The best way to build the target audience’s list is by making them subscribe to your email list.” That’s one thing that doesn’t go out of style…a good old email list whereby we can engage with those who sign up.
